Child sex claims date back to ’89

A CHADDERTON man has been charged in connection with an investigation into the sexual abuse of children dating back more than 20 years.
David Ferron, of Mills Hill Road, is charged with four counts of indecent assault on a boy aged under 14 and three counts of gross indecency with a child.
The 61-year-old will appear before Rochdale Magistrates’ Court on February 5.
The charges follow allegations of sexual abuse at a scout group known as the Phoenix Rangers in Middleton between 1989 and 1994.
