Mayor visits star performers

Mayor of Oldham Councillor Jim McArdle with Cartax owner Farooq Yousaf and driver Stephen Fowles.
THE borough’s first citizen visited one of Oldham’s first two taxi firms to get a top four-star council rating.
Council McArdle was licensing chairman when the star ratings were introduced last year to judge customer service, vehicle safety and driver knowledge at private-hire firms
He has also visited Delta at Hill Stores which also gained a top ranking when the awards were first announced.
