THE former treasurer of Waterhead Rugby League Club, Tim Kinder, has admitted more fraud and forgery charges at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester.
Kinder, of Sunfield Avenue, Oldham, pleaded guilty yesterday to obtaining money transfer by deception and of forging a cheque for £320.
On a previous occasion he has pleaded guilty to theft, obtaining money transfer by deception, and two counts of fraud by abuse of position. Two charges of false accounting will be left to lie on file.
The total amount of money involved is around £10,000.
Prosecutor Mr Michael Leeming said Kevin Hobson, the club chairman, and Alan Booth, the club secretary, wished it to be made clear that “they all feel very sorry for the defendant and particularly his family that he should find himself in the dock facing allegations of this sort.”
Sentencing was adjourned until February 15 where all options will remain open to the court.
