FAILSWORTH police are appealing for information after a burglar was spotted walking along Propps Hall Drive carrying a 42in plasma TV he had just stolen.
The thief struck between 5pm and 7pm on Monday evening and got into the house, in Propps Hall Drive, through a window.
He stole the black plasma TV, wrapped in a distinctive orange quilt cover, as well as a Dell laptop carried in a black and grey ruck sack, also stolen from the house, and some money.
He is described as white, aged 17 to 25, 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark coat with the hood up, with the rucksack over his left shoulder.
The thief was seen walking towards near-by Brooks Drive and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Failsworth and Hollinwood inspector Dave Stopford said: “We are currently running additional patrols in the area. We would encourage residents to come forward and report any suspicious activity.”
