THOUSANDS of condoms will be handed out this Valentine’s weekend as part of a campaign to keep Oldhamers protected and healthy.
The Love Hearts campaign has been set up by NHS Oldham, Positive Steps, the police, Brook Advisory Clinic and Revolution Radio.
Tomorrow, Alan Higgins, NHS Oldham’s director of public health, will be joining Latics players who will be wearing campaign t-shirts for their pre-match warm up on the pitch.
The Revolution street team will be out and about in Yorkshire Street handing out condoms, alcohol awareness information and Valentine’s cards from Greater Manchester Police.
Colin Avery, sexual health development worker with Oldham Community Health Services said: “We hope will raise awareness of all aspects of keeping healthy.”
