New Deal changes
Date published: 12 February 2010
Oldham’s New Deal for Communities project is winding down ready for its 10th and final year which begins in April.
The £53 million programme, aimed at improving neighbourhoods, jobs, education and reducing crime, has already slimmed down its staff.
Its Langham House offices in Ashton Road were due to close to the public today.
NDC will operate from the Honeywell Centre from February 22. But Langham House will remain a community asset and will be leased to NHS Oldham for use as a new doctors’ surgery.
