CHOIR honour . . . Emma Truman
A singer from Saddleworth has hit all the right notes to be selected as a member of the National Children’s Choir (NCC) of Great Britain.
Emma Truman (11), from Uppermill, was asked to sing a song from memory, and other tasks during her audition. The youngster, who attends Manchester High School for Girls, proved she was in fine voice as she secured a place with the group.
Emma said: “I chose to sing ‘Believe’ by Lin Marsh at my audition because it is a piece that I know well.
“I am delighted to have been selected to be part of the NCC. Music is my favourite subject at school and I aspire to one day perform at The Royal Albert Hall, although that is a long way off yet.”
