AIMING high . . . Annabel Miles is to star in an English Youth Ballet production
A TALENTED young dancer has landed a part in an English Youth Ballet production.
Annabel Miles (14), who attends Saddleworth School, pirouetted to success at a very competitive audition to win a place in the forthcoming production of “Giselle” at Preston’s Charter Theatre.
The youngster trains at the Brenda Goddard School of Dance and has been plucked from a list of 200 hopefuls to appear on March 12 and 13.
The production is set on an English country estate and tells the story of a young girl who is betrayed by the unfaithful Prince Albert.
It’s a completely new ballet for the company and is described as bringing ballet into the 21st century with warmth, colour and drama.
Director Janet Lewis was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list in 2008.
