YOUNG rowers at New Bridge School proved medal winners at the Greater Manchester Rowing Competition.
Members of the New Bridge Special Needs Girls team took top spot on the podium after coming first in the event held last month in Wigan.
The New Bridge Special Needs Boys team was pipped at the post and came runner up in its competition.
Year 9 pupil Natasha Bryant and Year 10 student Reece Manson came third in their individual event.
Alison Tootill, the school’s head of PE, said: “We are very pleased with the outcome.
“Our children performed exceptionally well at this competition which was a credit to the work they have put in.”
