Flight of fancy

A STORY about a teenager claiming to have had work experience with Thomas Cook Airlines was entirely bogus.

A spokesman from the firm said: “Thomas Cook Airlines does not operate any form of work experience programme on its aircraft and does not allow any unauthorised personnel access to the flight deck.”

We apologise for publishing — in good faith — a story which turned out to be a complete fiction.
