A GROUP which campaigns for events in the Sholver and Moorside area will hold its first annual meeting next week.
Charisma, the Campaign for Heritage And Recreation In the Sholver and Moorside Area, will meet on March 8 at the Northgate Public House, Sholver Green, at 6.30pm.
In its first year, Charisma arranged several events, including an Easter eggstravaganza, Viking fun day, lantern parade and a carol concert, as well as hosting creative writing classes and holiday events for children during school holidays.
They were funded by the Community Grants Scheme, which is co-ordinated by Voluntary Action Oldham.
Charisma chairman, Councillor Roger Hindle, said: “We have other exciting things going on currently, including planning for our next Easter and May Day events.
“We are also in partnership with the Sholver Millennium Green Trustees about how we can assist in bringing that area back into use.”
