Aniko Toth who will perform at the Unitarian Church in Oldham
An international singer will perform in Oldham tomorrow at the Unitarian Church.
Aniko Toth’s grandparents managed to escape the Hungarian uprising of 1956, taking Aniko’s mother, then a small child, with them.
Their granddaughter graduated with a first class degree in music, dance and performance at the University of California in Los Angeles before specialising in vocal technique at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, Hungary.
Aniko is now completing her post-graduate studies at the University of Salford.
She has worked with a diverse variety of collaborators, ranging from Meredith Monk to Manchester’s Hallé Choir, performed in venues from Hungary’s Millennium Theatre to London’s Royal Albert Hall and has been broadcast on BBC Four, BBC Radio 3 and 4, in the USA) and on Bartok Radio in Hungary.
She will be performing at Oldham Unitarian Church in King Street (8pm) when her accompanist will be John Wilson.
