Sellers ties up bins contract
Date published: 19 March 2010
A contract to supply metal bins for Oldham’s recycling schemes has gone to Chadderton firm Sellers Engineering Ltd.
Oldham Council’s waste management group uses the large industrial metal containers to collect recycling waste from across the borough.
Sellers will supply more than 150 new bins over the next three years, plus spare lids and wheels, at a cost of £33,575.
They are heavily used in schools and on trade sites.
Recycling is now being extended to multi-occupancy flats and expanded into schools for glass, cans and plastic bottles.
