Death riddle of man, 33
Date published: 22 March 2010
POLICE are working to establish how a man who died after being found collapsed in the centre of Oldham suffered a serious head injury.
Two Police Community Support Officers discovered the 33-year-old at the junction of Horsedge Street and Shaw Street at 6.20pm on Friday.
The man was rushed to hospital but died a few hours later.
It is being treated as an unexplained death while officers try to establish how he suffered his injuries.
It is possible he may have hit his head on the pavement after a fall or sudden ill-health, rather than being a victim of an assault.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the man collapsing or have any information to contact Oldham CID on 0161-856 8951.
