FUNDRAISERS turned on the glamour at the Kingfisher Charity Ball.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Oldham, Councillors Jim McArdle and Kay Knox, joined 175 guests at the White Hart, Lydgate for a night of music, food and fun.
GMTV presenter and former Chronicle journalist John Stapleton hosted an auction with prizes including a tour of the “Coronation Street” set with Julie Hesmondhalgh who plays Hayley Cropper.
The event raised more than £7,500 which will be used to fund major building works at Kingfisher Special School in Chadderton.
Business manager Michael Unsworth said: “This was the fourth Kingfisher Ball and it was a real success. All the guests had a fantastic time and we raised a fabulous amount of money. We are having major building work at the school and the money raised will fund equipment to make sure all our pupils get the most out of their time there.”
