Giving pupils a blast!
Date published: 24 March 2010
WE have lift off! Students at Hathershaw School had a blast as they celebrated National Science Week.
Students welcomed a host of guests into the school to give them a better understanding of all things scientific.
They handled exotic creatures and even witnessed a falconry display in the school playground.
The culmination of the celebration was the construction of rockets which were launched into the air using all the students’ scientific know how.
When the experiments were over, pupils celebrated their achievements with their own version of the Nobel Prize Awards in school assembly.
