BITTER winds greeted stallholders setting up today’s annual Road End Fair in Greenfield. The Maundy Thursday market is one of the country’s oldest thriving traditions, and dates back to the Magna Carta of 1215.
It is organised by local church groups, and is always a popular draw, even though the weather varies from bitter winter snow to bright spring sunshine — often on the same day!
