Adults will soon be able to get a glimpse of what it is like to see the world through the eyes of a child.
Saddleworth youngsters have began work on a giant digital mosaic.
Budding photographers from Holy Trinity School, Christ Church and Delph and Diggle primaries learned how to take the perfect picture — and how to put them all together.
Digital cameras were handed out by Oldham Theatre Workshop, so the children could snap away at anything that catches their eye on an “environment” theme.
Mary O’Neil, from Oldham Theatre Workshop, says the project will give parents an insight into what children think of their surroundings.
She said: “Today, people go off and do their own thing, but to instil that sense of community to a younger generation is something that they will be able to take with them into their future lives.”
People, animals, family and parks, nothing is out of bounds for the creative young minds, whose pictures will eventually be gathered together and made into a digitally-produced collage for all to view.
The end product will be accompanied by a drama production reflecting the children’s ideas.
