EUNICE with her message from the Queen
ONE of Oldham’s oldest residents today celebrates her 105th birthday.
Eunice Lunn put her longevity down to enjoying a sing-a-long and an occasional tot of sherry.
“She enjoys a glass of wine too,” laughed Sharon Richardson, senior carer at Ashbourne House, Lees New Road, Holts. “She’s a good eater and still hums and sings with any music or entertainment we have on.”
Eunice will celebrate her special day with a party for family and friends. One of six brothers and sisters, she has lived at Ashbourne House residential home for eight years. Originally from Holyhead, Wales, she spent most of her life in Whalley Range.
