MAY Powell, who ran a fish and chip shop, greengrocers and newsagents, has died peacefully aged 101.

When she turned 60, May decided to move to America to be an au pair but came back when grandchildren Rebecca and Jane were born.
At her 100th birthday party, May held a bowling tournament and took part in a dancing contest.
The funeral takes place at Oldham Crematorium on Tuesday, at 1pm.
