Drugs raids

POLICE carried out drugs raids at three houses yesterday and found 3,390 cannabis plants worth £500,000.
They first stormed a property in Rochdale Road, Royton, and seized 2,492 plants, a large amount of cash and a BMW. Two further raids followed at Penryn Avenue, Royton, and Windermere Road, Middleton. Two men aged 47 and 42 were arrested and are in custody.
