Chronicle keeps theatre moving

ON the road . . . Chronicle deputy editor Dave Whaley hands over the keys to the Coliseum’s Kevin Shaw.
COLISEUM staff can hit the road in style thanks to a generous donation from the Oldham Chronicle.
The newspaper has been keeping the Fairbottom Street theatre moving for the past 10 years by supplying staff with a Chronicle van that is replaced when necessary.
The Chronicle’s circulation manager Steve Duthie said: “This partnership is a great example of the way the Chronicle supports the local arts scene.
“The Coliseum uses the van for its outreach educational projects and for moving scenery and supplies around.
“The Chronicle and the Coliseum have a long history together and this is one way we can help and support them.”
