THE Holy Cross cheerleading crew take centre stage
OLDHAM’S champion cheerleaders put in a flawless performance when they dazzled on the big stage.
Pupils from St Herbert’s and Holy Cross primary schools provided the half-time entertainment at Monday’ Co-operative Netball Superleague clash between Northern Thunder and Team Northumbria.
And they helped to spur on the home team — coached by Oldham netball Stalwart Mike Greenwood — to a thumping 73-44 victory at Bury’s Castle Leisure Centre.
The youngsters were chosen to perform in front of the 450-strong crowd after coming first and second in the Oldham schools cheerleading championship.
The match will be shown on Sky Sports 3 at 5pm tomorrow.
