THREE people have been charged in connection to a horror smash that left two teenagers dead.

Muhammed Zeeshan (18) and Noorullah Zaeer (19), both from Stockport, died after a green Honda Accord overturned and landed in a ditch on the A635 Holmfirth Road, Greenfield, on Sunday, September 20, last year.

Adeel Tarar (18), of Goodwood Drive, Adswood, Stockport, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, perverting the course of justice and causing a death while having no insurance.

Fakhar Ahmad (37), of Wellington Road North, Heaton Moor, Stockport, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

A 17-year-old boy, from Longsight, was also charged with perverting the course of justice.

All three are due to attend Oldham Magistrates’ Court on April 29.

Those killed were thought to have been new to the country and have no relatives in the area.

The car is believed to have been travelling towards Oldham along the Isle of Skye road at 4.45am when it left the road, flipped over and skidded along a ditch. Three other men inside escaped without serious injuries.

The accident site is before the A635 begins its descent down a series of bends into Greenfield.

The road had to be closed from the Clarence roundabout for several hours and firemen assisted police as the three casualties were helped from the car. They used powerful flood lights to illuminate the road.

It was one of the first call-outs for the North West Ambulance Service’s hazardous areas response team (HART), which had been set up only weeks before the crash. The team is specially trained to release casualties and begin treatment in difficult conditions or terrain.
