John Walker and the Dakotas at Uppermill Civic Hall
John Walker brought a touch of the Swinging Sixties to Uppermill with a retro rocking gig.
The singer, who once toured with Jimi Hendrix and Cat Stevens, shot to fame as part of The Walker Brothers.
They band had number one hits with “Make It Easy On Yourself” in 1965 and “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” the year after.
Fans travelled from as far afield as Japan and Croatia to see the show at the Civic Hall.
Fellow Sixties group The Dakotas provided the backing for John while local covers band Jog The Memory warmed up the crowd.
