AN army of 135 walkers, some with their pet dogs, took part in the annual charity stroll for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
A walkers completed a seven and a quarter mile route from the hospice in Royton, stopping off at Springhill Hospice, Rochdale for refreshments, and back.
The total amount raised is still being counted but last year’s walk raised £10,500.
A hospice spokesman said: “A big thank-you must go to all who participated and to all volunteers who helped on the day.
“We would also like to thank Springhill Hospice for their excellent hospitality and supplying our walkers with refreshments.”
