KIND-HEARTED regulars at The Greyhound in Royton have given the British Heart Foundation a £4,270 boost.
Pub-goers held a fund-raising drive to support the charity’s annual Red for Heart campaign which runs during National Heart Month.
It included a raffle, charity auction, entertainment and fun run.
One of the regulars also took part in a sponsored head shave after growing his hair since last April.
Half of the money will go to the Children’s Heart Appeal which is aiming to raise £113,000 for a 3D echocardiogram machine for the new Royal Manchester Children’s hospital.
Organisers Ant Larkin and Zoe Clegg said: “We decided to support the campaign because quite a few of us have been affected with family members and close friends suffering from heart disease.
“We all felt the British Heart Foundation was a really good cause to support.”
