THUGS threatened a terrified mother at knifepoint and demanded she hand over her cash while her four children were in the house.
Detectives have appealed for help in tracking down the culprits, who struck on a Sunday afternoon at a house in Crete Street, Oldham.
Two men knocked on their 35-year-old victim’s door at 4.40pm on March 28, on the pretence of asking if a football had gone into her garden.
When the woman said it hadn’t, the thugs both produced knives and forced their way in before demanding cash.
She handed over her money and the men ran off towards Ashton Road.
The victim’s four children, aged between eight and 14 were inside the house at the time. One of the men police are looking for was described as black, 6ft tall, 20 years old, with a flat nose and black curly hair shaved at the sides.
His accomplice was black, about 17 years old, with a chubby face and short black hair.
Det Con Matt Oldham, of Oldham CID, said: “Anyone prepared to threaten a mother with a knife should not be free to walk the streets.
“We are doing all we can to identify these men but if anyone has any information whatsoever that can assist this investigation, please get in touch.”
Anyone who can help should contact Oldham CID on 0161-856 8951, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
