Cop at look at Copster Park
Date published: 21 April 2010
Children will get their first view of the new play area in Copster Park, Oldham on Sunday.
It has been transformed as part of Oldham Council’s £1.2m Playbuilder programme.
Youngsters of all ages are invited to go along and enjoy the facilities at the park in Hollins Road between 1pm and 3pm.
The celebration event is a two-hour drop-in session where play workers will be on hand to encourage imaginative and exciting activities.
The area uses natural play and is one of 22 sites across the borough being refurbished as part of the two-year Playbuilder programme, funded by Government grant. Nine sites have already been opened.
Residents have been involved in planning their local play area which blend the existing landscape with natural elements such as boulders and logs, and catering for children with disabilities.
