TWO men were cut free from a smash outside the Whitegate Inn, Chadderton.
The passengers were trapped in a Rover 220 following the crash involving a Skoda Octavia at the junction of Broadway and Hollinwood Avenue.
Firefighters from Chadderton and Hollins were called to the scene at 7.30pm on Friday and watch commander Carl Bostock said: “There was no chance of them coming out until we took the doors off, it was that badly crushed.
“One of the guys came out quite easily. The other one, we had to cut away two doors and put him on a stretcher.”
The 23-year-old back-seat passenger was taken to North Manchester General Hospital with a fractured hip, along with back and neck injuries. Both drivers and the front-seat passenger of the Rover suffered minor injuries.
The 23-year-old Rover driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
