Academy principal online

THE public can quiz Waterhead Academy principal David Yates on the school’s relaunched website.
Oldhamers are being encouraged to use the question and answer section at www.waterheadacademy.co.uk
Mr Yates will also be keeping pupils and parents up-to-date with an on-line blog.
The website provides news and information about Waterhead Academy which will replace Counthill and Breeze Hill schools in September.
This will include details of the new uniform and the curriculum, policies and events.
Mr Yates said: “We want to bring Waterhead Academy’s website alive and make it more than just an information source.
“The idea of a blog is great as it will enable me to keep the future pupils of Waterhead Academy and their parents informed about developments as they occur. I’d encourage people to start checking the website regularly to find out what’s happening week by week.
“One of the best things about the blog in particular is that it’s interactive, and I really do want to encourage visitors to the site to use the Q&A feature to ask about the things that matter to them.
“I’ll be answering all the questions we receive and we’ll be publishing a list of frequently asked questions which will build over time into a very useful library.”
