Hollywood glamour came to Saddleworth with a glittering ball raising £8,000 for Oldham Cancer Support Centre.
The red carpet was rolled out for the guests, who were greeted by “paparazzi” on their way into the cheekily-named Hollinwood Ball at Clough Manor, Denshaw.
Giant Martini glasses, camera clipboards and even golden Bond girls were on hand to make the spectacular evening, attended by Oldham Mayor Jim McArdle, go with a bang.
The grand Hollinwood sign, made by Frank Rothwell, took pride of place in the car park — lighting the entrance in spectacular movie-star fashion.
Award-winning event management company, Team Spirit, provided the decorations for the event which saw cancer sufferer Jaynie Huxley make an emotional speech to the guests.
Organiser Bev Heap said: “It all fell into place, the difference that Jaynie made to the event was great.
“She spoke from the heart and people actually saw first hand what it was all about — it was a fabulous night.”
Auction items such as a helicopter ride, a Marilyn Monroe impersonator performance and a fine-dining experience helped boost the grand total.
