Pupils put on style for a glitzy farewell
GLITZ and glamour were the order of the night as Hathershaw school-leavers attended their big event linking schooldays and adulthood — the school prom.
Year 11 pupils arrived in style at The Village Hotel, Ashton Moss, for the prom to celebrate their five years at the Bellfield Avenue specialist sports college.
The teenagers arrived in style in a variety of limousines, including Rolls Royce and Cadillacs.
Awards were made in a number of categories including Most Popular Student, won by Jack Bowsell, and Most Fashionable Student, won by Jade Jones.
As well as dancing to a mix of RnB, house music and bangra, partygoers enjoyed a tasty buffet.
Learning manager and prom organiser Julie-Anne Sager said: “These events have gone from strength to strength. Our students were a credit to us and they showed upmost respect to each other and the staff and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
“The build up to this event was fantastic and the buzz in school was amazing — it makes it all worthwhile.
“We are positive these students will continue this high standard and finish their careers with some excellent exam results.”
