Hymn and her duo

DYNAMIC duo . . . Chris and Abby Eaton
POPULAR composer and Nashville recording star Chris Eaton brought a rare treat to Chadderton.
He teamed up with his wife, Abby, to wow a 100-strong audience at Christ Church with new music for the hymns of Charles Wesley.
The singer/songwriting duo set the original words of the 18th century hymn-writer to new music to bring contemporary versions. Chris and his wife are on tour with the show, and were supported by musicians from four Chadderton churches.
The minister of South Chadderton and North Chadderton Methodist churches, Darren Holland, was instrumental in pulling the show together, and a choir and small group of musicians were provided by the three churches and St Saviour’s Church. The candlelit event proved a huge success.
