Decision on July 7 inquests

FAMILIES of those murdered in the July 7 terrorist attacks were learning today if the inquests into their loved ones’ deaths will investigate alleged failings by MI5.
Former Hulme Grammar School pupil David Foulkes (22) was among the 52 people killed in the bombings on the London transport system in 2005.
Coroner Lady Justice Hallett was announcing the scope and format of the upcoming inquests in a hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
Key issues will include whether the inquests for the four suicide bombers should be held jointly with those for victims.
Mr Foulkes, from Austerlands, was killed in a blast at the Edgware Road tube station. The former Oldham Sixth Form College student had recently started work in media sales for the Guardian newspaper.
Lawyers for many of the bereaved families say the hearings should include a broad–ranging investigation of whether the authorities could have prevented the 2005 attacks.
The inquests are expected to start in October.
