Six flee as car fire hits house

SIX people fled to safety when flames from a burning car spread to a house in Amberley Walk, Chadderton, in the early hours of Saturday.
Firefighters from Chadderton managed to prevent the flames spreading beyond window frames in the house, and put out the fire which destroyed a Toyota Yaris which was parked in the driveway. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
