SHAW actress Shobna Gulati took some well-earned time out from the “Coronation Street” cobbles to officially re-open a popular Royton chippy this week.

Shobna, who plays Sunita Alahan in the ITV soap, cut the ribbon at the tasty Oldham Road favourite as local youngsters flocked to the relaunch.

Owner Kwok Wong was forced to close for four weeks after a chip range fire.
