Journalist makes claim

POLICE have confirmed they are investigating a formal complaint made by journalist Stuart Littleford.

Mr Littleford, editor of Government and Public Sector Journal and a freelance TV journalist, claims he was attacked by an officer while filming a collapsed building where a man was trapped.

The alleged incident happened in Morris Street, Glodwick, on Wednesday.

A statement by Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers have met the man and taken a formal complaint, which is being pursued.”
