CHADDY the Owl going for glory for Oldham
LATICS mascot Chaddy the Owl is aiming to flap his way to Olympic glory.
Oldham Athletic’s feathered friend is getting prepared to take part in the Mascot Olympics at the Theatre District in Milton Keynes on Saturday.
This year’s event will have a special World Cup twist.
Over 25 mascots, predominantly from well-known football teams around the country, will take part in a range of challenges — including a penalty shoot out, bin the boot, an obstacle dribbling race and much more.
It promises to be an entertaining event and will result in one mascot being crowned Olympic Champion 2010.
The annual event is also an opportunity to raise funds for Milton Keynes -based charity, Spinal Injuries Association.
There will also be a funfair, together with local stalls and entertainment from street dancers.
