CHEERS . . . members of the Junior University team raised a toast to the success of a programme that is helping teenagers realise their full potential.
The project was set up in 2004 and works with students in Years 9 to 11 in all 15 of the borough’s secondary schools.
It targets those students who have the potential to progress into further education but lack the motivation or study skills.
These pupils are supported by a team of mentors based at Oldham Sixth-Form College and by Connexions personal advisers.
The celebration event at the college saw local councillors, education representatives and members of the community learn more about the scheme.
