THE Tony Auton Band outside the Diggle Hotel at the launch of the village’s blues festival.
Music lovers flocked to Diggle to ensure the village’s first free Blues Festival was a roaring success.
Blessed with scorching sun on Saturday, crowds gathered at the Diggle Hotel to immerse themselves in the music. Nine bands took to the stage over the three-day celebration.
It was smiles all round for organiser David Wood, who with the help of his Down’s Syndrome son, Thomas, hopes the event will be the first of many.
He said: “The acts were diverse and the atmosphere was fantastic. We had a real laugh and a sing-a-long to celebrate. Hopefully we will be able to get the funding for next year. The feedback I got was brilliant.”
