Dawn Copley
FORMULA One fan Dawn Copley, has been appointed an assistant chief constable by Greater Manchester Police Authority following an intensive interview process.
Mrs Copley, currently a chief superintendent in the Lancashire Constabulary, joined the police in 1987 and was one of four candidates for the Manchester job.
Mrs Copley, who has a master’s degree in police leadership and management, is expected to take up the post within the next three months. She is married to a serving police officer.
