Paveen back with a message for PM
Date published: 10 June 2010
ISRAEL detainee Paveen Yaqub has been reunited with her family after being released by her captors.
Paveen, an Oldham Council LIFT worker, flew into Manchester Airport yesterday carrying a banner that read ÊMr Cameron, I need to talk to youË.
The 39-year-old was captured by Israeli forces as she made her way to Gaza as part of an aid flotilla. Nine people were killed during the raid and fears arose over Paveenis safety after her name appeared on a list of fatalities.
But the former Sure Start manager made contact with her family on Tuesday, June 2, to say she was safe.
