Help for Heroes support needed
Date published: 15 June 2010
SADDLEWORTH fund-raiser Gill Bussey is throwing a black and white ball in aid of Help for Heroes, and is appealing for some last- minute support.
The event will take place at Dinnerstones, Uppermill, and Gill still has more than a handful of tickets left to sell.
She is struggling to name the highlight of the evening, with a champagne fountain, Uppermill crooner “The Singing Pharmacist,” and a serving soldier who is holding an auction, all on offer. But she does promise an elegant evening, and has a strict black and white dress code.
Gill said she was surprised that the ball, on Sunday, June 20, is not a sell out.
She said: “I am absolutely amazed the ball is not a sell-out considering the cause. I would really like people to come out and support it.”
Tickets, priced £25 including tapas, are available on 01457-872 566.
