Burglar goes on the run

POLICE are hunting a prolific burglar with connections to Oldham who is wanted on recall to prison.

Peter Edge (19) is wanted after breaching the terms of his licence after release from prison.

Edge is a prolific burglar and police need the public’s help to locate him so they can take him off the streets.

He is known to offend primarily in Gorton but has contacts in Oldham and Stockport.

Insp Clark Bowers of the operational policing unit said: “We need to locate and arrest this man to ensure he doesn’t bring anymore misery to the neighbourhood.

“He was released from prison and given an opportunity to become part of the community.

“He has shown by breaching his licence that has not learnt lessons from the original sentence.

“Edge is a prolific burglar and any information we get will be appreciated.”
