Taxi customers in Oldham are assured of good care after local drivers completed new qualifications.

The new City and Guilds qualifications are for taxi drivers and chauffeurs and cover passenger health and safety, how to deal with difficult passengers and how to deliver high customer service.
It also covers the laws involved in driver and vehicle licensing and traffic legislation.
Fazal Rahim, chairman of Borough Taxis, said: “This is a new qualification and we are driving up the standards of professionalism among our members.
“All the drivers gained the NVQ Level 2 qualifications, which is a huge achievement not only for the individual but also for the taxi trade in Oldham and its taxi-using public.”
Members of Oldham Licensing Committee have also been invited to the event.
