£40,000 windfall

OLDHAM Mountain Rescue Team has received a grant of £40,000 from the East Lancashire Mark Benevolent Fund Limited, which will go towards paying for vehicles.
The fund, the Masonic charity of the East Lancashire Mark Freemasons, has made similar donations to Bolton and Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Teams to acknowledge the major contribution the teams made over winter.
OMRT said it is stunned by the generosity and extremely grateful.
