Flying the flag for our forces

Oldham Council is showing its support again for the second Armed Forces Day.
The civic centre flag was raised at 9.30am yesterday and will be be displayed until Saturday.
Council leader Howard Sykes said: “Raising the flag will honour the men and women who make up our armed forces and the contributions they make at home and overseas. I appreciate the opportunity to show support to all those — past, present and future — who make our armed forces the envy of the world.”
