A THUG armed with a knife robbed a woman on her way to pay in cash at Hollinwood Avenue Post Office in Chadderton.
The attacker, over 6ft tall, struck in broad daylight after the woman parked up in Owler Lane and walked across to the post office.
She was confronted and threatened by the yob who had a knife tucked into his waistband.
He ran off with her cash across Hollinwood Avenue and along a dirt path at the side of the near-by New Moston Conservative Club.
The robber is described as white, of medium build and in his 20s with large eyes and wide nostrils.
He wore a black hat, and tight-fitting black leather jacket and denim jeans when he struck shortly after 1pm on June 1. PC Stewart Lindsay, of Oldham Volume Crime Team, said: “The woman was not injured but is clearly upset at being robbed as she went about her daily routine.
“To approach his victim in broad daylight on the street would suggest to me he is either desperate or overly confident and at ease with targeting lone women. Either way he must be caught. I would ask the public to think about the detailed description and if anyone has any information that can help us identify him, then please get in touch.”
