ASPIRING film-makers from Oldham Sixth Form College scooped two awards at a national competition.
Cassie Hunsley, James Oldham and Jessica Shipman were awarded the silver medal at the Video Moving Image contest organised by World Skills UK.
And there was more success with Leanne Carpenter, Rachel Jacob, Adam Parkinson and Paige Rodgers winning a highly commended award for fourth place.
The media students were among 10 teams which researched, developed and pitched an idea for a 30-second television programme title sequence to a panel of judges.
The competition was held at The Institute of Creative Enterprise in Coventry and Fiona Douglas-Reeves, the college’s head of media, said: “It was a very intense day.
“The teams were all very well prepared and our students deserve this recognition — they worked so hard for it.
“They all have a great deal of talent and flair for creative ideas and it was great to hear the judges speak so highly of them.”
